About me

​          Matty has been seen on Broadway in Taylor Mac’s, GARY, A SEQUEL TO TITUS ANDRONICUS,  and the 2018 Tony Award winning revival of ANGELS IN AMERICA (Dir. Marianne Elliott); Off-Broadway in ANGEL REAPERS at The Signature Theatre (Dir. Martha Clarke), THE TEMPEST at The Public Theater/Shakespeare in the Park (Dir. Michael Greif), La Mama in CHANGERS, written and directed by Spike Jonze, as an original NYC Cast Member of the acclaimed, SLEEP NO MORE (Punchdrunk) (Winner of the 2011 Drama Desk for Unique Theatrical Experience & 2011 Drama League Nominated Ensemble) and as the Devil in THE SOLIDER’S TALE at YALE/CARNEGIE HALL.

His versatility as an actor/dancer has been influential in bridging his passions for film, TV, theater and dance.

          TV Credits include GONE (NBC Universal), GIRLS (HBO), GOSSIP GIRL (CW), and VH1’s You Oughta Know Live and the 2018 TONY AWARDS Telecast.

          Hailing  from a small town in Central Pennsylvania (pop. 250 people and 350 deer) he holds degrees in Biology and NeuroPsychology from Dickinson College, and continued his studies in Dance and Theater at the Univ. of the Arts, in Philadelphia. Moving to NYC in 2005 on a Full Scholarship/Graduate Assitantship from NYU Tisch, he completed his MFA in 2007. Matty's decision to pursue a career as a performer was orchestrated by “acting on instinct” and he continues to allow life’s improvisational score to serve as a structure for his artistic journey.
